I know, I know. Mobile phones and mindfulness don't quite go together when you first say it. But the truth is that (almost) every app can be used mindfully if wanted. If you are already cautious of your screen time, then you shouldn't have a problem by considering an app or two from our list of favorites. Just a disclaimer – this is my personal opinion, sharing what I truly believe works well with my practice of mindfulness.

Headspace

Believe it or not, Headspace is the app that got me into meditation. Before trying it, I believed meditation was some kind of voodoo yogi stuff, and I honestly didn't get it. The wonderful thing about the app is that it takes that stereotype away and gently pulls you in. Meditation suddenly becomes something wonderful. What I love most about it is how many different themes there are. You will most definitely find something for yourself.

Bliss – Gratitude Journal

The name says it all. Throughout time, this app became my journal. I track all my happy moments and moments of gratitude there, along with photos that I take during the day. It's lovely browsing through memories after a while, especially on a gloomy day.

In The Moment - Mindful Eating

Unfortunately, this app is only available on iOS, and it costs $1.99, but it's lovely. Since we are a foodie portal, we have to include it. It's an app that helps you be more mindful of the food you eat. It helps you build healthy and long-lasting eating habits that actually depend on your body's needs rather than feelings.

Rootd

As someone who's been dealing with anxiety and panic attacks form y whole life, I deeply appreciate this app. It got me through so many hardships I can't even count on my fingers anymore. Download it and have it there, it's free after all. Maybe someday it will come in handy.

I wish you all the peace in the world you deserve.
